RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the timely execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, allocated timeframe, all other contract documents and site instructions.
- Check all drawings and specifications to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans for discrepancies and report to the Superintending Officer / Consultant / Qualified Person as stated below:
- Check shop drawings submitted by contractor,
- Check as-built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manual submitted by contractor
- Check on quality of works, materials and samples delivered to site, take measures to rectify any non-compliance and report to Superintending Officer / Consultant / Qualified Person on any materials that are not conforming to the specifications
- Ensure that the required construction tests in connection with the construction works are carried out where necessary
- Prepare defect lists, monitor progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified
- Supervise works to comply with statutory requirements and specifications:
- Maintain records of tests carried out
REQUIREMENTS
The RTO-M&E shall have minimum eight (8) years of experience as an RTO, of which at least five (5) years shall be in supervision of works similar
In nature to major construction works in buildings, services laying and lighting & control systems. Candidates with minimum three (3) years of relevant experience as an RTO shall be considered for junior positions.
- The RTO-M&E shall possess a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution or relevant qualifications.
- Accreditation of M&E RTO Certificate by IES.
The RTO-M&E shall have a certificate in Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course.
